Not that it bothers me to battle it out, but I save political discussions for home. That being said, I agree with just about all that you wrote. Education is so important. Public schools in the US have been weak in recent years, in everything, particularly science and math. Of course, there are always the exceptions to that. But as a whole, it has made us less equipped than we used to be. It will change. Many parents have opted to home school, or send their kids to private schools where they can get a good education.
